About Tone Addict
Tone Addict Pickups began with a simple obsession: the belief that so much of the magic in an electric guitar comes from the pickups. I’ve always loved swapping pickups in and out of guitars, hearing how the same instrument could suddenly feel more open, more alive, or more inspiring with the right set installed. That curiosity eventually turned into a deeper journey — learning what makes pickups respond the way they do, and then making them myself.
For me, the magic is in the feel as much as the tone: the way notes bloom, the way chords stay clear, and the way the guitar responds when you back off your touch or dig in harder. A great pickup should not just change the sound of a guitar — it should make you want to keep playing it.
Each pickup is hand-wound by me in the UK, with close attention paid to balance, dynamics, and feel. I’m not just chasing numbers on a meter — I’m listening for how the pickup reacts in a real guitar, through a real amp, in a real playing situation. Some sets are made for sparkle, clarity, and articulate clean tones. Others have more mids, more push, and a stronger voice for blues, classic rock, and the harder edge of classic rock.
Tone Addict Pickups are for players who care about feel as much as tone. Players who want pickups with character, clarity, and response — not just a replacement part. My aim is to make pickups that help a guitar feel more inspiring every time you pick it up.
