Pink Resurrection is a bright, open Strat set voiced for chime, snap, and clear chord separation.

It suits clean arpeggios, jangly rhythm parts, atmospheric textures, and light drive, with an airy top end, percussive response, and definition without the shrill top end.

The Pink Resurrection Strat Pickup Set is an early-’60s inspired, hand-wound set voiced for bright, dancing articulation — think late-’80s UK indie guitars with chime, snap, and open chord clarity. It has the snap, glass, and shimmer of a vintage-leaning Strat pickup, but with enough body through the centre to keep the sound from becoming thin or brittle. The top end is sweet and clear rather than sharp, while the low end stays tight, and percussive, giving arpeggiated parts the definition and rhythmic push they need.

At the heart of the set is a neck pickup with a clear, vocal top end and a clean attack that opens into a sweeter, fuller note. There is just enough warmth underneath to keep single-note lines expressive, but not so much that chords blur together. That makes the neck especially strong for ringing clean passages, melodic lead lines, and fluid, chiming rhythm work.

Tuned down a half step, the set becomes looser and more elastic under the fingers, while the tight low-end response keeps the wound strings from turning soft or cloudy. Pink Resurrection wasn’t designed around E-flat tuning, but it revealed a surprising strength there. Chords feel wider, single notes open up more easily, and through an edge-of-breakup amp the set takes on a sweeter, bluesier edge without losing its bright Strat definition.

Positions 2 and 4 are hollow, airy, and percussive, with the scooped shimmer needed for glassy in-between tones and enough body to stay expressive through blackface and silverface-style amps. The middle pickup keeps the set clear and jangly, while the bridge adds bite, snap, and balance without becoming harsh or underfed.

Built with Alnico 5 magnets and 42 AWG Heavy Formvar wire, Pink Resurrection captures the feel of an early-’60s inspired Strat set through the lens of late-’80s British indie guitar: chiming, hypnotic, rhythmic, atmospheric, and alive under the fingers.

  • Voice: late-’80s British indie Strat chime • early-’60s clarity • shimmering jangle • glassy top end • tight percussive lows • open chord separation • bright but balanced bridge

  • Feel: airy attack • clean note separation • rhythmic snap • dry, tight low end • touch-sensitive clean dynamics • especially sweet and guttural when guitar is tuned down to E-flat

  • Amp and speaker pairing: a natural match for Blackface and Silverface-style circuits, where the set’s shimmer, snap, and arpeggiated clarity stay bright without becoming thin. Also pairs beautifully with light drive, chorus, delay, and reverb, where the set’s chiming top end and tight low-end response bring out spacious, ringing indie rhythm tones.
